Home away from home – With this self-catering apartment you will find all the comforts of your own house, as well as plenty privacy in quiet surroundings. The apartment is on a quiet street beside the ocean, it's comfortable, clean and cozy, with all essentials. In summer, enjoy the energy-giving midnight sun, watch horses graze in the backyard, and wild geese and goslings strolling around. In winter, witness the majestic Northern Lights from the deck, and listen to the power of the waves. The space The apartment is situated in Álftanes, which is a part of Garðabær community, very close to Reykjavík (15 minutes by car or 30 minutes by bus). The house was built 2006, it is well isolated and has central floor heating. The apartment is on ground floor with a private entrance. It is 80 square meters with two bedrooms; the main bedroom has a king size bed (180×200 cm), a big wardrobe and a desk and the smaller one has a bed which is 160×200 cm. All linen is provided. By arrangement it's possible to get access to a washing machine and a dryer at the owners home, same building. The kitchen is a well-equipped. There is an induction stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, and other facilities. The living room is modern and there you'll find a satellite smart TV, with access to many channels, Netflix and Disney+. In the bathroom there is a bathtub with a shower. Towels and shampoo are provided. From the living room there is a beautiful view on a nature reserve called Kasthúsatjörn, which is very important for birds. It's a common sight to see riders on their horses pass by and during summer horses graze in the meadow just outside the garden. There is a direct access to a deck in the garden and only few meters walk to the beach. In the summer it's amazing to sit at the beach an watch the sun set. Common seal can often be seen resting on the rocks. From the beach there is a beautiful view, and when the sky is clear you can even see Snæfellsnes peninsula, Snæfellsjökull glacier and Reykjanes peninsula. Guest access Access to the whole apartment and the deck and garden outside. By arrangement it's possible to get access to a washing machine and a dryer at the owners home, same building. Free wireless internet connection. Essentials, such as towels, soaps, shampoo and heating included. Free parking outside the house.
