The shed lovingly converted to a guest house, with everything you need and nothing more -for a slowed down, intimate, comfortable escape from the everyday. Nestled between wild coasts, inlets and ancient granite and Karri forests, The Slow Drift is the perfect base for venturing into the pristine local landscapes and experiencing all the beauty this region offers. The space Petite in footprint, big in impact. A purpose built small space on the family property, curated for a private, intimate, pared back and comfortable stay. With everything you need as a base for adventures, or slowing down and relaxing with a book and good company. Wake with the sun and the birds and take your morning coffee outdoors on the front patio in the morning sun, with locally roasted Stash coffee provided for French plunge or slow drip/pour over. A living room bathed in northern sunlight, for lounging, dining and cooking with spectacular views up Mount Hallowell Reserve. After venturing out for the day, choose between the indoor rain or outdoor shower for washing away the beach sand. Make use of the kitchenette to prep your platters, or dinner for two using the toaster oven and single induction cooker. Plenty of fridge space will accommodate your locally sourced wine, cheese and platter goods. Take a moment in the evenings for a wine by the outdoor fireplace whilst the sun sets over Mount Hallowell. Cosy up on the corner lounges to catch the afternoon sun, followed by a movie using the Apple TV/Chromecast, or games night with the Sonos for setting the music vibe. Retire to the bedroom adorned in high quality vintage-vibe linen, with the sound of the ocean lulling you to dreams. Guest access The whole of The Slow Drift cabin and front yard is entirely yours - including a private driveway and one off street parking bay, front garden and patio and all indoor space. A lock box for the key allows coming and going at your leisure. Check in is 3pm and check out is 11am, to allow for a leisurely drive to Denmark and a sleep in on your final day. Other things to note The Slow Drift comfortably accommodates couples or solo adventurers. Please kindly note that the space is not suitable for children or dogs, due to the delicate nature of furnishings and non-enclosed yard. The local area does not get free to air/antenna TV reception – however you are provided an Apple TV and Chromecast for those 'Netflix and Chill' nights. Where we are: Nestled between coast and forest, both are within walking distance should you enjoy the meander - 1km to the Bibbulmun Track on Mt Hallowell and 2.5km (25min walk) along the paddocks and inlet to Ocean Beach.
