Spacious 800sq. ft pad in one of the most recognizable houses, in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Toronto. I take a lot of pride in this space that I've custom outfitted and designed for creating a unique and personal experience for my guests. Directly across from one of the most beautiful churches in Toronto. The space is a stand alone 2 bedroom + Den (with bunk bed) apartment with private entry, in the lower level of a 98 year old home. Walk to get your groceries...walk to one of many different amazing restaurants...or take the subway to any area of our amazing city...live a day (or more) as a Torontonian! I am available for any level of interaction as I live on the main floor. However, I also travel a lot and sometimes rent out the main floor apartment as well. Having lived in the neighborhood for the last 12 years, I've accumulated a vast list of cool, fun and enjoyable things to do. To maximize the enjoyment of this space, I've worked very hard to include an incredibly comprehensive guide for the neighborhood (as well as the apartment). Truly one of the nicest neighborhoods in Toronto. We are 5-7 mins from the subway station, which will take you anywhere in Toronto, as well as the Bloor West Village which is full of life and charm.... We are a 10-12 min walk (2 min bike ride) from High Park- Toronto's biggest park. We are 18-20min walk (5 min bike ride) from the Junction, which is a recently gentrified neighborhood that has completely come alive! It also has an amazing Farmers Market on Saturdays from 9am-1pm. His and Her bicycles are provided as part of the rental. 20 min drive from Toronto Pearson Airport ($35 by taxi). Secure key pad entry is used on the front door, so guest arrival is completely simplified. Other things to note The house is almost 100 years old, which creates a ton of charm...but in order to keep it that way, we have to give up on some of the modernized elements. Sound transference through the floors is noticeable, as well as the very occasional house settling noises. I've had only 2 sets of tenants (meaning, they were happy enough in the unit to stay a long while) in the 8 years that I owned the house before I turned it into a short stay apartment. In fact, the first tenant only moved out because she did so to marry one of the most famous Toronto athletes of all time (Roberto Alomar), and moved in with him- TRUE STORY- If you're a Toronto Blue Jays fan...he's been here!
