You will be 7 minutes by car from Futuroscope, 15 minutes from the historic center of Poitiers (Romanesque capital) and pedestrian streets, you will have access to all the cultural events of the city center (museums, concerts...) as well as a wide range of restaurants, cafes, shopping malls. Close to all amenities, 5 minutes from supermarkets, on-site parking. Poitiers has an exceptional architectural heritage. Many churches can be visited in the center of Poitiers: Notre Dame 11th and 12th century, a real jewel of Romanesque art, but also the Gothic-style St. Peter's Cathedral dating from the 12th century, St. Porchaire, St. Hilaire, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Chemin de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, Ste. Radegonde, St. John of Montierneuf... the baptistery of St. John from the 4th century. You can also admire the courthouse, former residence of the Counts of Poitou and the Dukes of Aquitaine, and continue with a visit to the Ste Croix Museum and the Pierre Mendes France area. After the visits, the Jardin des Plantes and Blossac Park are pleasant places to relax. Many amusement and animal parks are to be discovered including the Futuroscope Park, the Valley of the Monkeys in Romagne, the Planet of Crocodiles in Civaux and the Giants of the Sky in Chauvigny. The state forests of St Hilaire in Vouillé and Moulière in Montamisé have many hiking or mountain biking trails. In the Saint Cyr leisure park less than 10 minutes away, you can go swimming, beach volleyball, tennis, sailing and golf. Other things to note On site you will find duvets and pillows, bed linen is not provided, there is a bed package made on arrival for 10 euros per small bed and 20 euros per large bed. The cleaning fee is 60 euros payable on site upon arrival. You will have private, year-round access to the indoor heated pool attached to the cottage.
