After a long day of work, meetings, or exploring the Bay, come rest and relax at your in-law unit in the Claremont Hills. You'll have private access to one bedroom, one bath and a kitchenette with a large living area. You're a short drive to BART and local freeways with convenient access to all of Berkeley, Oakland, San Francisco and Walnut Creek. You are minutes from UC Berkeley, the Claremont Hotel, and the Rockridge/Elmwood districts. The space 800 sq ft in-law unit located at the lower level of our Claremont Hills home with a private entrance. The bedroom is appointed with a queen sized Nest bed, a large closet and ample storage for your belongings. Your private bath is supplied with fresh towels and toiletries. You'll find a large open space with a desk, sofa, TV, and kitchenette. The flooring was recently changed from carpet, as seen in the pictures, to a laminate. An air mattress is available for third guests or if you require separate sleeping accommodations. For travelers requiring separate sleeping, please book for 3. Guest access You'll have private access to the space with a separate entrance. There is usually street parking in the area. Other things to note My family lives above the unit. While our home is of newer construction, you may hear footsteps or dogsteps, the sound of distant conversations and our garage door. We make every attempt to be cognizant of the sound we generate while living. This unit is on the lower level of our home and is often quite cool. If you are sensitive to cool temperatures or require constant 70 degree plus heating, then this location will not meet your needs. I provide a space heater and make every attempt to keep my entire home comfortable. We live in a quiet and secluded area in the hills. Our space is ideally suited for an individual or couple looking for a calm and quiet location to recharge--for parties, gathering with friends, loud music or TV, please look elsewhere. Observe the no parking signs, as parking is restricted on my property's side of the street. Therefore, street parking is only along the opposite side of the street. Feel free to park briefly in the driveway while you load/unload your vehicle. The kitchenette includes a table, refrigerator, microwave, nespresso, and an electric kettle. This area is best suited for take-out or prepared meals. If you need to cook anything beyond scrambled eggs, pasta, or heating canned goods, then this space will not meet your needs.
