Swallow Barn, Characterful barn at Lake Villa

In the North Devon village of Bradworthy is Swallow Barn. This dog friendly cottage has two ground floor bedrooms. Open plan beamed sitting room/dining/kitchen room. Over the road are 25 acres of meadow with two hidden lakes and a secret cabin. A Ten minute walk to a great pub and twenty minute drive to Sandymouth Beach The space Swallow Barn has a glorious open-plan living/sitting area with comfy sofas and chairs and lots of exposed beams. There are extensive views across the gardens with bird feeders right outside. The kitchen is also found at this level and has a dishwasher and washing machine. There is a flat-screen TV, DVD, CD player, games and books. As this cottage is ‘upside-down’ the two bedrooms (a king and a triple) and bathroom are downstairs. The bathroom has a bath with an electric shower. There is direct access to the south-facing gardens with lots of garden furniture, and the tennis court. In the front is a flower-filled courtyard and parking right outside. Over the lane is our own mini nature reserve, our 25 acres of meadow, 2 lakes, one for fishing and secret cabin. Bradworthy’s friendly pub, tea rooms and shops are ½ a mile away. Great holidays for families or couples who love the great outdoors! Pets welcome at £30 each per booking payable upon arrival. Other things to note The cottage is situated in a very quite rural location, no flight path overhead and zero light pollution offering amazing night skies. The hidden lakes offer total tranquility and a haven for wildlife including kingfishers, otters, buzzards, deer, and in summer beautiful dragonflies. The lakes can be fished for golden rudd, tench and orff. Just 8 miles away is Sandymouth the most stunning all year round dog friendly beach, at low tide great for walking, surfing and body boarding. We are a great place to stay if you want to walk the south west coastal path.
