Description
Within the THE NEW FOREST NATIONAL PARK welcome to our semi off grid sustainable home where you will find our shepherd's hut and the peace and tranquillity it provides. Amongst our newly planted saplings in our paddock you will have the wildlife and our 2 ponies for company. A warm, cosy, quiet, safe, space...read our reviews!!!! Sometimes surrounding yourself in nature is just what you need to give you balance. We look forward to welcoming you. The space Away from the main road and other houses in a quiet corner of our paddock under the trees with tall ancient hedging all around you the birdsong will be your alarm call. With no wifi, TV or Radio you really can get away from it all. NO FIRES OR CANDLES JUST UNTIL WE GET SOME DECENT RAIN. SORRY FOLKS You have your own shower and toilet so you really are self contained. Coming into our 6th year after a hideously wet winter we hope spring comes soon. Guest access Access is through the first 2 gates then a straight drive up. Parking can be right beside the shepherd's hut or if you'd rather you can park at the bottom of our track on concrete so either way your car is safe and secure. We have dogs but can easily lock them away if you are not keen. Other things to note NO BBQS UNTIL WE GET SOME DECENT RAIN. Our Shepherds Hut has its own heater and small induction hob, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery. If you need anything extra just say and we will try to provide or suggest an alternative. We love you to meet our dogs, ponies and chickens including our cockeral Jimmy. But if that's not your thing that's fine too. We would ask that you take your rubbish home with you. We have very little bin space and no bottle collection. We are happy to take your food waste however and provide a caddy. We are also within walking distance to a great pub, The Trusty Servant. Acres Down is also nearby with lovely walks and a family run tea room and farm shop. Furzey Gardens is not far either and a great place to visit for a few hours. The New Forest is awash with history and interesting places to visit. Not to mention deer, pig and pony spotting!
