Description

Built in the 1930s, using mainly native stone & cedar, this hilltop retreat with a breathtaking view is perfect for 24 people. This unique property features large bedrooms, spacious living areas, a full kitchen, and even a downstairs game room. Along with the main house (that sleeps up to 10), you will also have access to the 6 separate guest cottages (that sleep up to 14). The backyard is designed for gatherings with its covered porch, outdoor fire and BBQ pits, porch swing, and picnic tables. If you would like to book a Wedding on our property, you must contact us directly as there are requirements to having a wedding with us. Nicklos Place sleeps up to 24 with its adjoining cottages. The sprawling home features three bedrooms that sleep up to 6, along with 3 full and one half bathrooms downstairs. In the tower, there are four twin beds and a half bath. The adjoining Guest Cottages feature 6 rooms with private bathrooms, and sleep an additional 14 people. Nicklos Place is one of more than 20 different guest properties in which families can stay; it is located on a ranch that serves as a meeting space for camps, conferences, school groups, and families. The ranch has an abundance of amenities, including waterfront and pool access, canoes, hiking/biking trails, nature observation areas, a historic 35-foot water slide, and multiple sport facilities. Although the ranch is a shared space, there is plenty of room on the 500-acres to relax and unwind. Scattered throughout the property, there are traces of its beginnings as a working ranch as well as relics dating from its unique past. The ranch is home to many impressive buildings with one-of-a-kind details. These lodges were constructed primarily using Hill Country limestone, ornamental ironwork, San Jose tiles, and retired oilfield pipes. One can easily get lost admiring the scenic Texas overlooks and crystal clear Guadalupe river while exploring all the ranch has to offer. Although cell phone service is limited on the ranch, WiFi is available in most facilities. Maps are provided in the registration building that detail all spaces with WiFi access. There are neither televisions nor telephones in the rooms to help create a more peaceful environment for you, our guests. This intentional design allows you to unplug from technology and make meaningful connections with those around you. Guest access The home you'll be staying in is your private quarters. The rest of the ranch is a shared space for all of our guests to enjoy its amenities.
