Hudson Valley Farmhouse (Garrison / Cold Spring)

Luxurious, tastefully decorated farmhouse with pool in a tranquil country setting just over 1 hour from New York City. Convenient to Cold Spring, West Point, Boscobel, Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival and many other attractions in the lower Hudson Valley. The space This 1800's farmhouse is our weekend retreat from hectic city lives. It's clean, bright and uncluttered and makes a perfect escape in summer and winter alike. On the ground floor you'll find an oversized living room, where two comfy white linen couches are perfect for lounging by the fire or unwinding with a movie. French doors open onto a furnished, screened-in porch (complete with hammock!) that's perfect for summer nights or the occasional fierce thunderstorm. Across from the living room, and up a short flight of stairs, you'll also find an airy kitchen, which is fully-equipped for those who love to cook with a Wolf range, Sub-Zero refrigerator and virtually every kitchen tool you might need. Directly outside is a bluestone patio where you can barbecue, dine, and lounge overlooking the koi pond, lawn and pool. There are two guest rooms on the second floor: A master with marble-clad en-suite bathroom, and a guest room with a bathroom that's adjacent. Both have queen-sized beds. There's also a nursery with crib, changer and twin-sized bed. Upstairs, in my airy attic office, you'll find a quiet work area equipped with an Apple monitor, and an additional full-size bed. Guest access You'll have access to the whole house! Other things to note 1. Because it's set amidst beautiful rock formations and features several bodies of water (a swimming pool, hot tub and koi pond), this house is not suitable for very small children. 2. The beautiful salt-water pool is unheated! Most people find it's the perfect refreshing temperature in the summer, but some (shall we say wimpy?) swimmers might find it a tad chilly. 3. Our home is located in a very quiet neighborhood where peace and quiet is appreciated - and is not suitable for parties or events. Thanks for your understanding.
