Mountain House is perched at the top of Camps Bay . The house has three bedrooms two with queen size beds, one with a double bed . It has two bathroom areas, two showers one bath , two toilets. A fully equipped kitchen. A fireplace for those chilly nights. It has all the bells and whistles in terms of internet,wi fi , cable TV , webber gas braai, great outdoor areas to chill and of course a pool . There is a battery inverter for the property to mitigate power outages . The space Mountain house's uniqueness is its proximity to Table mountain which is literally on its back door step . The house is nestled high up on mountain side of Theresa avenue in Camps Bay . Behind and adjacent to the house the twelve apostle peaks stretch down to Constantia and Hout Bay. The property boasts panoramic three sixty degree views of the Atlantic ocean, Table mountain and Lions head, all icons of scenic Cape Town. The inspiration for design of the interior was to work with the integrity of the original house which was built in the eighties ,the colours and textures brought into the home are inspired by the mountain and her magnificent flora. I wanted to create a natural, relaxing and comfortable space with a lot of detail to create a magical ambience. There are scenic hiking trails behind the house going up to the top and also along the mountain ,some easy going, some more difficult . The sunsets never get old , the day ends and another begins in all her glory. Guest access The main house has exclusive and private use of the pool , gateway onto the mountain and parking area with garage . Please note , due to the house being high up on the mountain slope the driveway is quite steep and tricky to navigate but achievable with a decent car. There are also quite a few steps up to the main house . There is an apartment on the property below the main house, a long term resident resides there. The Apartment is completely separate from the main house and has its own entrance and doesn't share any amenities or features of the house . Note : there are external cameras over the driveway gate and garage and external cameras monitoring the nature reserve behind the house ( these are monitored by an external security company ) None of these cameras point into the property and do not affect guest privacy Other things to note Tips: If its windy and Camps bay can be and you want to go to the beach, go to clifton , its protected from the wind , 3rd and 4th beach being my favourites. a short walk from Camps bay beach .
