Polbrean Studio, a cosy holiday with river views

Anne-Marie and Steve offer a warm welcome to Polbrean Studio, a cosy, well equipped, self catering studio with stunning views of the River Fowey in the tranquil village of Golant. Our Studio is a large open plan room with pull down double bed, kitchen area with dbl hob, convection oven/microwave, fridge w icebox, and shower wet room. There is a mezzanine with additional double bed accessed via paddle stairs. Outside is a seating area where you can enjoy the stunning surroundings and views. The space Golant is in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is the perfect base to explore all Cornwall has to offer. Our Studio is located on the Saints Way, so is ideal for those who wish to trek the many beautiful walks on our doorstep. Encounter Cornwall, based in Golant, provide Kayak Trips which cater for all abilities and take in the scenery and wildlife which inspired the novel, Wind in the Willows. The local pub, the Fishermans Arms, is a short stroll from the Studio and they provide local Real ales and excellent quality pub food, all served with a friendly smile. Golant is 10 minutes drive from Fowey, which hosts a packed calendar of events all year round, the most notable being the Fowey Festival of Music and Words (formally du Maurier Festival) in May, Regatta week and Carnival in August, and the Xmas Market early December. The picturesque fishing towns of Charlestown, Mevagissey, Looe and Polperro are on our doorstep with the cathedral city of Truro only an hour's drive away. Attractions, such as, the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and Llanhydrock House are also close by.
