Glenfield Lodge is a family run guesthouse and is perfectly located in the heart of Leicester historical city and close to Leicester’s vibrant day and night life. Leicester is also a contemporary city bursting with shopping, festivals, attractions, arts, culture and Highcross Shopping Centre is about 15-20 minutes walk. We welcome business travellers, professionals, contractors and solo travellers. The space Glenfield Lodge is a Guest House, therefore, there will be other guests around during your stay. Our guests are mainly business travellers, locum professionals such as nursers/doctors, contractors, solo adventures and families with older children. If you are searching for a home to home environment than Glenfield Lodge may not be suitable for your needs. Our aim is to provide basic accommodation at affordable prices. We take pride in providing an environment that is as homely as possible. This room consists of 2 single beds and is located on the first floor. Please note this room is £27 for 1 guest/night and an extra £10 for the 2nd guest Shared toilet and shower is on the same floor. Each corridor has a shared toilet and shower room. Altogether there are 4 toilets and shower rooms and you have access to all of them (ground floor, first floor and 2nd floor). Each room has Free wifi, flat screen TV, kettle/tea/sugar/milk, a small fridge, table and a wash basin. Microwave, plates and cutlery is on the shared lounge on the ground floor. Continental breakfast is optional £8/guest/night (juice, yogurt, fresh fruit,tea, coffee, cereals, croissant/pastries, jam, marmalade, cows milk. If you prefer sliced bread or crusty rolls do send us a message before arrival. Please note we do not cater for guest's with severe food allergies. We can provide milk of your choice i.e soya, almond milk with the breakfast option only.. Please send us a message before arrival. Do let us know if you are following a vegan diet and wherever we can offer an alternative on the breakfast menu will do so. Otherwise Prana Cafe in 10 Horsefair St - LE1 5BN offers food to eat and take away. 'The Good Earth' 19 Free Lane - LE1 1JX in Leicester city also has vegan and vegetarian food. Within 5-10 minutes walking distance there are cafes and pub that provide cooked breakfast at reasonable rates. In the city centre there are various vegan and vegetarian venues. There is a shared dining area on the ground floor with a microwave and cutlery Altogether we have 3 listings with airbnb (Listing 1 has 1 double bed and 1 single bed) (Listing 2, twin room with 2 single beds) ( Listing 3 has 1 double bed) Before booking please check which listing will be suitable for you. Hair dryer and iron is available on request. Guest access -The common room has a microwave/plates/cutlery/ chairs/table where you can have your meals. Other things to note Glenfield Lodge does not have lifts, therefore, may not be suitable if you do have mobility problems or difficulties climbing stairs. Most of the rooms are on the first and second floor and all showers/toilets are on the 1st floor. We are happy to discuss your requirements and make adjustments wherever possible.
