Guests will enjoy the feeling of staying in a classic British house. Cosy and bright single bedroom with large windows overlooking the garden. The room has a wardrobe, desk and use of bathroom only shared with other guests. You are welcome to use the kitchen to make tea and coffee or a sandwich, microwave to heat food, fridge space for small items. The space Tucked into a side street within the northern edge of London's Finsbury Park, you'll find a warm character filled home with a creative heartbeat that welcomes the weary traveller. Far from the maddening crowd of central London, with it's mix of cultivated character and overly priced offerings of designer hotels, you'll find a home built in the early1800's at a time when Elizabeth Barrett Browning, John Ruskin and Lord Tennyson were writing some of England's most treasured poems. Many who visit 13 Hanley Road, will find it's owner Cait, her daughter Rhiannon, son Tom, and their four legged family of Joey and Sox, two gentle greying dogs who sleep most of the day away, amidst their thickly overgrown garden protected by mature, swaying trees of Horse Chestnut, Sycamore and Pear...Damson, Apple, Ash and Eucalyptus trees, grounded with stands of Yellow Forsythia, Purple Blue Bells, Wysteria and Lilac. In compliment, as light falls at the end of the day, the windows are opened wide to invite the calls of birds feathering their nests, the distant sounds of children playing, with the last rays of sunshine blessing the white washed walls of this home. But what the weary traveller will find, aside from the assembling of trinkets and heirlooms from across the globe, you will find the light always on, a smile to greet you at the end of the day, the tea kettle always on the boil and a warm heart to give you respite from your weary life - such pleasures are the rich and the few that come to us...when far from the comforts of home. Other things to note I have a very independent cat and a loveable old collie cross dog . They follow me around and spend most of their time downstairs.
