Melati House, a gorgeous villa in Batukaras

Melati House is a charming, aesthetic and contemporary house and joglo, ideal for a happy, relaxed and private holiday for your family or for gathering groups of your friends together. Enclosed within a walled garden, with its own parking area for up to 3 cars, Melati House is cosy, stylish, secure, and supremely comfortable. Situated on a quiet lane just minutes from the beaches and cafes of Batukaras, Melati House has all that you need to have a wonderfully relaxing, fun and peaceful break. The space Melati House is a stylish modern villa nestled in a large private garden. It was designed to be happy and relaxing, open-concept yet private and safe. It is a wonderful place for families and groups of friends to enjoy spending time together, eating, relaxing and having fun bersama. Melati House consists of the main house, a studio and a joglo. Situated on a quiet residential road on Jalan Sanghiangkalang, Melati House benefits from the nearby cooling sea and river breezes while the beaches, mangrove, river, cafes and restaurants of Batukaras are only minutes away. The main house has 2 double bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king bed, AC and an ensuite bathroom with hot shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed, AC and an ensuite bathroom with hot shower. The joglo has a king bed, AC, ceiling fan and a semi-open ensuite bathroom with hot shower. The studio has a small double (super single), AC, ceiling fan and an ensuite bathroom with hot shower. Our water is enhanced with a pump. Tested, safe drinking water is provided. For everyone to enjoy being together there is a fully equipped kitchen, dining area & lounge areas as well as a spacious veranda overlooking the back garden. A cook and helper can be arranged. The villa is cleaned every day, with fresh bedding & towels every 3 days. There is a carport and secure driveway parking for up to 3 cars, an outside shower and a beautiful, walled tropical garden. The main gate can be bolted at night. While young children are free, for more than 8 adults there is a supplementary charge. Two extra single mattresses and bedding are available, upon request. Melati House was carefully designed to make the most of the natural surroundings and all the windows, doors and floors were built using Indonesian hardwoods (teak, ulin and wangkel). The furniture is an eclectic mixture of bespoke, vintage and modern pieces from Java and Singapore. Melati House has high ceilings and a heat repelling roof. Inside, the house can be cooled further with strategically placed fans, plus there is aircon in all the bedrooms. Wifi is provided and our cable service is Indihome which includes YouTube, Vidio, Catch Play, & Indonesian TV; Netflix, HBO and Disney+ requires your password. We hope you have a fantastic stay at Melati House and enjoy spending relaxing time in the space as much as we do. Guest access You will have the entire house to yourselves. As it is also our home, there is a cupboard and office containing the owner's private things. The Wi-Fi speed is 30 mbs. Other things to note With the new toll roads, you can drive to Batukaras from Jakarta in 8 hours or from Bandung in 4 (if you put your foot down and don't stop long for a break along the way!). If you take your time, it's 9 hours from Jkt and 5 hours from Bandung. We recommend the Strawberry chain of restaurants to eat good Indonesian food along the way. Susiair flies to Nusawiru Airport, just 30 minutes away, 6 times a week. We do not permit pets, sorry. We recommend bringing any special food, drink or medicine with you. To enter Batukaras, there is a toll (per vehicle) and no vaccine proof is needed anymore. We can arrange pick-up, with a careful driver and nice car, from anywhere in Java.
