Beautiful lakehouse in upstate New York. Near Grafton State Park. Three bedrooms... loft ... 1 and 1/2 baths. Nearby hiking trails. Kayaks and a canoe available. Close to Jiminy Peak, Williamstown, MA, and Bennington and Manchester, VT. The lakehouse is in a quiet setting, but only 25 minutes to Williamstown, MA, and Bennington, VT and only 45 minutes to Manchester, VT. For skiing enthusiasts, Jiminy Peak is only 45 minutes away. Check out their website for summer activities as well. Please let us know what your interests are and we'll be happy to direct you. We do have a dog when we are there and there are a few very friendly labs that may show up looking for Ben. The whole house is available to you. There is a hot tub on the property, but it is not something that we provide as part of the rental agreement. We do have other property on the road which we may or may not be at while you are staying. But we are always available by using the Airbnb app or my direct phone number to text or call. It's a peaceful place. There are neighbors very close though, so we ask everyone to be respectful of their space as well. No public transit, but transportation could be provided from train station or airport. * Internet is available. * The house has 1.5 bathrooms. A half bath is upstairs and a full bath is downstairs. This bath does not have a tub, but a large shower. We can provide a large tub that can be put in the shower for guests who have small children, but you need to let me know. * There is a hot tub, but not available to our guests. *. Unfortunately you will have to find other arrangements for your pets. * Mainly in the summer, dogs run free so you may get a few visitors while you are here. *. We can accommodate more than 6, but it would have to be requested when booking and depending on the number and whether they are children, the additional fee may be waived. *. Please try to leave the house how you found it. We understand that a cleaning fee is charged, but that does not mean that we do dirty dishes. What that fee includes is dusting, vacuuming, washing floors, doing all the laundry, remaking beds, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning kitchen counters as well as cleaning out refrigerator and stove, removing trash and recycling from the cans where you are instructed to place it, and finally we sanitize for Covid to keep you and us safe in this pandemic. This is done prior to each guest and again once the guest leaves, so please make sure your dishes are cleaned and put away prior to your departure. If dishwasher is started before you leave, I would be happy to put away those dishes. *. Please note: there are no vents/ducts to the upstairs for heat in the winter, but if doors are left open, heat will rise and the bedrooms are warm. There are also down comforters on all the beds. The thermostat should not be raised more than 70 which wehave found to heat the cabin nicely. If you need more heat than that, please feel free to use the wood stove.
