The space The apartment is located on the second floor of a traditional Edinburgh tenement at the west end of Rose Street, one of the most famous locations in the historic "First Edinburgh New Town" built in 1790. Rose Street lies directly behind Princes Street and so it easily accessed by all transport. The Street is now pedestrianized and lined with a variety of restaurants, small shops and bars at ground level, with open air tables in the fine weather. The apartment is reached via two flights of stairs. Once in the apartment, to the front, with double windows overlooking Rose Street, is the Lounge. It has the original fireplace from 1790, a flat screen smart TV and benefits from a versatile daybed sofa, which can be converted to one or two single beds. There is a very well equipped kitchen, with gas hob, electric oven, microwave and fridge freezer. Within the kitchen there is a breakfast bar and seating for four. Coffee/Tea and basic groceries are supplied. To the rear, overlooking Rose Street Lane and the back of Princes Street is a double bedroom with plenty wardrobe space and a flat screen smart TV . There is a very attractive bathroom, which includes a shower over the bath, a shaving point and a hairdryer is provided. Off the hall there is a cupboard with additional storage and a washer/dryer. Guest access The entire property is available to our guests. There is free broadband/wi-fi. The apartment has full gas central heating and constant hot water. Quality bed linen, towels and toiletries are provided. With such a central location and the pedestrianized area, there is no direct vehicular access between 10.30 am and 11.00 pm, and there is no parking in Rose Street itself. However, taxis can drop off approximately 20 m from the apartment and tram, airport bus and numerous city bus stops are located just round the corner on Princes Street, and Waverley Train Station is a short distance away. Paid on street car parking is available on George Street and Charlotte Square adjacent to Rose Street, and there is a large long stay multi-storey car park at Castle Terrace, 5 mins walk from the apartment.
