Tall House Small House is a newly converted addition to Tall House, an 1886 Victorian home, located in one of Walla Walla's beautiful historic neighborhoods, just a few blocks from downtown's many tasting rooms, fine restaurants and intriguing shops. Owned and renovated by artists who live and work in the main house, your stay at Tall House Small House will be a one-of-a-kind experience. The charming tiny building, complete with skylight, and lovely private patio, was originally a coal shed & root cellar for the main house. Its historic exterior is intact, and the completely renovated cozy and unique interior is full of original artwork by your hosts and other local & regional artists, and enlivened by custom appointments. It's just right for a romantic and memorable getaway for two, or a peaceful and beautiful retreat for a solo traveler. Both hosts maintain home art studios, so are nearly always home and available. If we need to be away, we will provide contact information for neighbors who can help if needed. Our centrally located Walla Walla neighborhood is full of character, big trees and beautiful historic homes. It's great for walking or bicycling... close to our lively downtown, with restaurants, tasting rooms, two grocery stores, the public library, the Saturday Farmers Market, and Pioneer Park, the City's largest. Whitman College's lovely campus is also within a few blocks. The City bus system, Valley Transit, has stops within a couple of blocks of the house. Walking tour maps of Walla Walla's historic homes are available, as well as bicycle touring, hiking maps and Winery tour maps.
