Steeped in history, this 1907 former ice house is now the Pioneer Lakeside Cabin—a peaceful Vermont retreat designed for family bonding. Nestled on a quiet, rural lake, it offers the perfect backdrop for relaxation. Spend your days swimming, fishing, and kayaking, then gather around the fire pit for unforgettable evenings under the stars. This hidden gem is the ultimate sanctuary for relaxation. The space The main living area is on the second floor. You will have a flight of stairs to navigate as soon as you enter the entryway. The kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, and half bath are on this second floor. There is also a balcony off of the kitchen to sit and relax and take in the amazing views. The grill is also located on this balcony. The downstairs area has the mudroom, full bath, and an additional living area with a couch and a set of twin bunk beds. There is a deck behind the cabin with two lounge chairs and a few Adirondack chairs. The fire pit is located next to the deck. We have an outdoor shower which is perfect in the summer after a day of swimming in the lake. Water for the cabin is supplied by an Artesian well. Guest access You have access to your own dock and two decks in front of the cabin, one on the lower level and one on the upper level. There is a canoe and two kayaks, and a fire pit. There are also chairs, life jackets, and toys, as well as a TV. There are electric heaters in the bedrooms and kitchen. Other things to note Our property is less than 30 minutes away from Kingdom Trails in Burke, VT which has been voted the best trail network in North America. Franconia Notch State Park located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire is also less than 30 minutes away. Pet Fee is $100 per pet.
