A lovely cottage perfectly located for the Western Lake District, coast and the C2C track. It is warm and well equipped:-i king, 1 double,1 bunk ( 2 beds) and a comfortable double sofa bed.There is 1 bathroom and 1 shower room with toilets. It has dishwasher microwave, washer,dryer and fridge freezer, space to park your bike in the alleyway and a delightful garden with barbecue and garden furniture.,radio linked heat, smoke and CO alarms, child friendly. Parking on the road in front The space This delightful cottage is in the quiet rural hamlet of Winder is a mile from the western boundary of the Lake District National Park only 3 miles from Ennerdale Lake. Ennerdale is internationally recognised as an important site for landscape, ecology and wildlife. By the waters of it's beautiful lake or by the River Lisa flowing down the head of the valley, or amongst it's woodland , or on it's magnificent peaks one feels both enchanted and humbled by the charm , majesty and beauty of this special place. We have recently had the ground floor fully damp proofed and a new slate floor laid in the dining and living areas. A wood-burning stove has been installed and the archway between the living area and dining area has been opened up . This makes the space lighter warmer , dryer , more modern and homely and the floor is more practical and user friendly. In spite of these major improvements and expenses our prices have been kept low. We are able to do this because we ask people to bring their own bed sheets , duvet covers and pillow cases (or sleeping bags and pillow cases ) and towels to avoid the costly process of washing , drying and ironing 3 loads of washing for every booking and enable us to pass on these savings to customers. We hope you all enjoy this beautiful warm dry clean homely cottage in this delightful quiet corner on the fringe of the Lake District. Guest access You have access to the whole house , alleyway and garden. The next door neighbour has access to the alleyway. Other things to note Please bring your own bed sheets , pillow cases and towels. Please advise us if you want stair gates, travel cot , high chair , baby bath ,fire guard or bed rails putting in place. Bed sizes are 2 standard singles , 2 standard doubles( including the sofa bed and 1 standard king. All mattresses are deep except for the sofa bed.
