The Western-style building adjacent to the Important Cultural Property, the Tachikawa Family Storehouse, was constructed during the Taisho era and has been designated by the City of Hakodate as a Structure of Cityscape Importance. This culturally significant residence has been thoughtfully renovated by the Tachikawa family into an accommodation facility, complete with a bath, offering guests a relaxing and private retreat.
