Renovated to a 4* standard (independently certified by the tourist office), your accommodation has a private entrance and is self-contained, set over the garden floor. The property can accommodate 4 adults comfortably, plus up to 4 children. There are 3 well proportioned bedrooms: the “Red Room” is a master double with en-suite shower room and WC (160cm bed). The “Blue Room” is a double/twin (1x160cm bed or 2x80cm beds). The “Green Room” is a bunk room with space for up to four children / teens. For the Blue and Green rooms there is a bathroom with a full sized bath and twin basin, and there is a separate WC. The living space is cosy with a well proportioned kitchen and a beautiful rustic dining table seating up to 8, and there is a small sitting area to relax and play games or snuggle up together to watch TV. Parking for up to two cars and use of the garden which enjoys a magnificent south- and east-facing aspect towards Mont Vallon and Dent du Burgin (col de la Loze) on the Meribel side, and the Massive de la Vanoise towards Courchevel. Les Allues is a charming village with direct lift access into Chaudanne, at the heart of the Meribel and 3 Valleys ski area. As well as four bars and restaurants to choose from, the village has a local shop open for groceries, a ski school to book lessons, and a ski hire shop, all open 7 days per week. Unlike many other ski stations, Les Allues is a working village with a permanent community, making this a delightful destination year-round for all season mountain activities, from skiing to hiking, cycling to paragliding, or just sitting in the sunny garden with a book and enjoying the views and fresh mountain air. Alpine paradise! 5 minute walk to the centre of the village. During holiday periods, a gondola lift carries you up the mountain to Meribel Centre in 14 mins. There’s also a free bus service to other Meribel villages. Free parking. It’s possible to ski back to the village when there is fresh snow. Hiking and mountain biking and road biking opportunities abound, right from the doorstep. There’s also a free quality hard tennis court in the village which is free to use, from spring through to autumn. The nearest airport is Chambery (1h10 drive), but there are more frequent flights into Geneva and Lyon (both approx 2 hours drive). The nearest train station is Moutiers Salins les Bains and there are bus and taxi transfer services to/from the village to the bottom of the valley. For skiers, we recommend booking a ski locker at Chaudanne (the main Meribel hub). This means you can walk in comfortable shoes to the Olympe lift each day. It costs around €80/week for 4-5 people. This means you can walk to the Olympe lift in Les Allues each day (10 mins from chalet), which takes you straight to the locker, and after skiing you can enjoy Méribel Centre in comfortable shoes before heading home (free buses run until around midnight, journey: 15 mins). At the lockers your boots are warmed and aired overnight. It costs around €80/week for a locker for 4 people.
