The LITHI House, was built in 1796 with the traditional Mani architecture, in the shadow of our family tower. It was restored in 1996, offering all modern amenities for carefree vacations. The architectural peculiarity of the house, as well as the unique view of the Mediterranean, will impress you, since it is just 1,700 meters from the sea (at a straight distance), while at the same time it will offer you moments of relaxation, as here you will feel for the first time the feeling of absolute quiet. The space LITHI Traditional House is about 150 sq.m. Externally it has a courtyard with barbeque and wood oven as well as space for the safe parking of your car. Internally, it is composed of an open plan area with the fully equipped kitchen on a separate level from the dining and living area with the fireplace. Continuing to the far end of the corridor and going under the low door you come across the three bedrooms, on three different levels, as well as the two bathrooms (on the ground and second floor). Going up to the second floor and exiting the rooms you will find yourself in the old kitchen house, with the old preserved wood oven where its construction will raise you with interest. But what will pleasantly surprise you is the sunshade (terrace of the Sun) with the panoramic view, from the west side of Cape Matapas (Cape Tainaro), the endless sea of the Mediterranean, the beach of Almyros, the village of Tsikalia and following the countless dry stone walls, the bare mountains and olive groves, to the mountainous village of Modanistika. And as the night falls and relax with some wine in the sunshine, you will get lost in infinity of stars. Guest access LITHI House is located in the village of Tsikalia, in the village of Shihalas. It is a village that offers you the peace and the opportunity to understand what it is like to have stopped time. Its geographical location is ideal for touring, both in Eastern and Western Mani, as geographically the village is located in the center of Akrotiri Tainaros. It is 30 km from Areopoli where it has a Health Center, 25 km from the caves of Diros and 7 km from Gerolimenas, where is the nearest mini market. Just 3 km away is the closest beach of Almyros. The whitewashed pebbles (leludas), the cool cave, where you can protect yourself from the hot sun, the imposing rocky scenery, as well as the ruins of Ancient Newapolis, will create unprecedented emotions. However, it is as easy to access other beaches of Mani, such as Marmari beach with golden sand and Porto Cayo beach, which we recommend for swimming and food as well as the beaches of Eastern Mani, Ambelos, Alypa, Kokkala. The villages of Vathia, Laya and Alika, just 4 km away and worth a visit for the traditional architecture of the Mani towers. Unique experience, worth living, starting on foot from the village of Kokkinogia one hour earlier before sunset, is the sunset at the Lighthouse at Akrotiri Tainaro, located at the southernmost point of mainland Greece.
