This modern apartment is located in the heart of the historical Buda Castle, a very exclusive location rated as the top residential area in Budapest, minutes away from buzzing downtown. We have made sure to keep every detail at a high standard of style and comfort. You find the capital's most famous sites, stylish restaurants, museums on the doorstep. The space The apartment was renovated in February 2017 and charming, perfectly situated in the historical Buda Castle. The Castle District area is part of the world heritage and the most exclusive address in the city. The design of the apartment is very modern, but we also wanted to give a historical touch to the flat here and there, and kept some of its originality from the old times. Everything in the flat was designed to be stylish and comfortable. All of the furniture, mattresses, sheets, towels, etc. are quality ones, and some of the furniture was handmade and designed /renovated specifically for the apartment. Fully equipped beautiful kitchen that enables you to prepare a whole lunch or dinner (cooker, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee maker, toaster, kettle, cooking utensils), free coffee, tea, spices etc. There’s a king size bed (180x200cm) upstairs in the bedroom in the alcove area for two (note that the ceiling is lower there), and we have a sofa bed in the living area for additional two people (bed size: 140x200cm). The stylish bathroom has a huge shower with toilet, and there’s an en-suite toilet in the bedroom as well. The apartment is located on the first floor (no elevator in the building). You have to see it for yourself how beautiful the Castle area is, main tourist attractions are very close. The apartment is within a couple of minutes walking distance of the Buda Castle, Matthias Church, Fisherman’s Bastion, National Museums and Galleries. The Arpad Toth walkway with breathtaking views is only 50 meters from the apartment. You are in the very heart of Hungarian history. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes in the area, and the Soho of Budapest, the famous party quarter with unique and lovely 'ruin pubs', bars and restaurants is only a quick 10 minute taxi drive or 15 minutes by public transport (the bus stop which takes you down to the city is a 2 minutes walk from the flat). If you fancy walking, it’s a breathtaking 25 minutes walk via the Chain Bridge to reach Deak Ferenc square and the party district. The really nice thing about this area that it’s very peaceful and quiet, as if you were on a separate historical island, yet it’s in very close proximity to the buzzing downtown. Guest access You'll have the place all to yourselves with full access to all amenities. Other things to note Tourist tax The sum you pay on Airbnb includes local tourist tax, no other charges apply. Linen and towels There is bed linen and a set of towels for each guest. There is no daily cleaning or linen/towel change. If you need extra, please bring your own, or you can request more before arrival at an additional cost (please message me for details). Consumables You will find a reasonable amount of consumables as per the list of amenities, such as kitchen basics, welcome coffee, toiletries (in dispensers), toilet paper, etc. Should any of this run out, please buy more at the supermarket like you would at home.
