Welcome to Coral Reef – one of only 12 gulf front condos at the Maravilla where you can literally see the water from the master bedroom pillow, from the living room and the kitchen. Fresh, new décor in the summer of 2021 and we’re looking forward to your visit! Comfortable beds include the king bed in the primary bedroom, queen bed in the second bedroom, true twin bunk beds in the hallway alcove and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The space Up to 8 guests are welcome in this 2 bedroom 1 ½ bath condo complete with kitchen including all full-sized appliances, WiFi, and televisions in the living room and each of the 2 private bedrooms. The complex has 3 pools, one of which is heated in the off-season, a hot tub, a fitness room, outdoor activities including volleyball, and more! When you’re on vacation with us – you’re on vacation. No need to stop at an office, wait in a line to pick up keys – just get to your home away from home and start enjoying all that our city has to offer. Of course if you need us, we are only a text, message or phone call away and we look forward to EARNING your 5 star review and to earning your repeat business and referrals. The Maravilla complex charges a resort/parking/amenities fee of $10 per vehicle per night for each stay. This is paid directly at the complex - not through or by us. If you happen to arrive after the complex office has closed - you may visit the office the next morning when they open to pay the fee and obtain your wristbands that identify you as registered guests at the complex. An after hours courtesy officer may leave a "love note" on your vehicle if they see it without a permit just as a gentle reminder to visit the office the next morning. Like any complex - there are owners remodeling and sometimes exterior construction as well - but the major construction on this side of the complex has been completed so while it may be a tad more difficult to find the exact parking spot you are looking for - your stay shouldn't be disrupted otherwise. We charge $75 for approved dogs. We will ask you to send a picture of the dog to us before approving it. Due to insurance regulations of the owner, and no matter how cute they are, we are unable to approve full bred or mutts containing the blood line of any animal or breed identified as dangerous or vicious including pit bull, rotweiler, chow, shephard or doberman. Not all of our condos nor all complexes are dog friendly. For the few we manage that are dog friendly – it is dogs only, and no other animals. The fee does not apply to true service animals – though some of our units – due to owner allergies or other personal reasons – do not allow dogs regardless. While the comfort they provide is priceless, please note that as hosts of short term rentals – emotional support animals are not the same as a true service animal and only dogs are permitted and there is a fee for emotional support animals. We are pleased to provide starter supplies of toiletries, paper products, dish cleaning options and coffee. These may not last your group the duration of your stay (then again they might) but more to get you settled and find the best shopping option for your group after making your lists and menus. The Maravilla is a complex of 164 privately owned condos. Each owner selects their own decor and the items inside their condos. The complex' amenities - pools, hot tub, fitness center, parking, elevators, etc. are managed by the complex management. After making your reservation you will receive a link to complete our renters agreement. The only information we request differently than the booking platforms (VRBO/AirBnB) is your personal email address, the names and ages of each person who will be in the property during your stay, and your driver’s license information as well as an emergency contact should we need to reach someone on your behalf. Thank you for completing this in a timely manner so that we may send you the check-in instructions for the property you have reserved. Galveston is a barrier island in Texas located on the Gulf of Mexico. From time to time we have unexpected rain, thunderstorms, and sometimes we do have tropical storms and hurricanes. From time to time there may be brief interruptions in electricity and WiFi services due to weather. You should consider purchasing trip interruption or cancelation protection through the platforms or another source. We are unable to guarantee sunny days, mosquito free nights and perfect weather, nor do we refund for these possibilities. We issue refunds in the event of mandatory evacuations issued by a governmental agency, or for the property being unavailable due to damages and extended power outages. The east pool of the Maravilla will be closed for repairs/construction from August 18, 2025 through approximately Thanksgiving. The two pools on the west side of the complex and the hot tub there will remain open during this time. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for understanding that this is 100% out of the control of My Galveston Getaway and the owners of each condominium for whom we manage. For all reservations made directly through our website and through VRBO, there is a $300 security deposit “hold” required. You certainly can purchase trip cancellation/interruption coverage through those platforms as well if you so desire, this is a damage “deposit” hold. This is released once our housekeepers advise that the property has been left in the condition received with no damages occurring during your stay. This is not a charge, but a hold on the credit card on file with which the reservation is made. Should there be damages and they exceed $300 to repair or replace, you will be notified and asked to make arrangements to compensate for those items. My Galveston Getaway cancellation policy: If your cancelation is received more than 30 days before your scheduled arrival date, there is a $100 cancelation fee, the remainder is refundable. If your reservation is cancelled 14-30 days prior to your scheduled arrival date there is a $100 cancelation fee, 50% of the remainder is refundable. If your cancelation is made between arrival and 13 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, there will be no refund issued. We look forward to reading your 5 star review - and EARNING it! Other things to note We will email your confirmation to you once all of the required taxes and fees have been paid - and usually it goes out 48-72 hours prior to arrival. Because we use a coded entry - we want to be sure that you get the correct code! For this reason we will ask upon receipt of your reservation for your personal email address. We email our check in instructions including the code to access the property - and want to ensure that you and only you have that information. You will find our "house manual" inside of the property once you have arrived. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE The complex charges $10 per night per vehicle, up to a maximum of $70 per vehicle per month as a parking/resort/amenities fee. This is collected upon your arrival to the Maravilla complex and is not something we are able to collect in advance or pay for you. We are also required to collect, report and pay 9% City of Galveston Hotel Occupancy Taxes. Please be sure to read the House Rules section before booking. By booking you are agreeing to those rules - and these explain the additional taxes and fees that we are required to notify you about, as well as to collect, report and pay. We don't like it either - but we do very much value our guests. We strive for 5 star reviews at all times - and the first part of that is notifying everyone of every cost they may incur so that there are no surprises. If during your stay with us you find any reason that you are not able to rate our service and the property a 5 star review based upon the description of the property, that the pictures accurately depict the property, or our courteous service - please let us know and give us the opportunity to turn that frown upside down and EARN your 5 star review.
