The space 'Rainbow Lodge' was originally 'Rainbow Cottage' a tiny 2 bedroom 'batch.' When renovating we decided to keep the original rimu flooring in the kitchen area and incorporate some of the original cladding in the kitchen (as the building was painted lime green & blue - hence the name Rainbow) . You will feel right at home and be very comfortable and you won't be able to take your eyes off the ever changing view. All windows & doors are double glazed and the house is fully insulated throughout. All bedrooms have wall panel heaters, so you can adjust to your individual requirements. Downstairs consist of 3 bedrooms, main bathroom and a lounge plus access to the garage & laundry and a small deck off 2 of the bedrooms so you can catch the afternoon sun. BED 1 - King Size bed, views, full built-in wardrobe with hanging space & shelves, bedside tables and side lamps, wall panel heater. BED 2 - King Size bed that can be split to make 2 singles, views and a sliding door to a small deck, full built-in wardrobe with hanging space & shelves, bedside tables and side lamps and wall panel heater. BED 3 - Oversized Queen Size bed, views and a sliding door to a small deck, hanging rack and chest of drawers, bedside table & side lamp and wall panel heater. MAIN BATHROOM - Bath, shower, toilet, vanity unit, heated towel rails & heated floor, fan heater & extractor fan, soap, shampoo, conditioner, hand wash, towels, flannels, toilet paper & tissues and Hair Dryers. LAUNDRY/GARAGE - Front loading washing machine, dryer, clothes racks, ironing board & iron. Upstairs at street level is the entry deck leading into the home, lounge/dining, large kitchen, 2nd bathroom and a huge outside front deck with BBQ, outside table & umbrella. KITCHEN - All necessary utensils and more, dishwasher, electric hot plates & oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, rice cooker, slow cooker, toastie press etc, pod Coffee machine, range of teas, herbs & spices and a range of basic ingredients. LOUNGE / DINING - Spacious area, TV, DVD player with a range of DVDs, books, games, cards, blue-tooth speaker, comfortable sofas and chairs, dining table with 8 chairs, reverse cycle air conditioner that heats & cools the entire upper level. OUTSIDE DECK - At the front of the house is a very large deck with magnificent views over Queenstown, Walter, Cecil & Bob's Peaks, Lake Wakatipu, the Gondola, and the recreation grounds where they play rugby and often you will see the parapenters also landing on these grounds right in front of you who have jumped from Bob's Peak at the top of the Gondola. So much to see without even leaving the house! There is also a table with 6 chairs, umbrella and BBQ. BATHROOM - Shower, toilet, vanity unit, heated towel rail and heated floor and extractor fan. Also, please note that we may be able to offer a late check out if there are no back to back bookings. Guest access You will have access to the entire house except for one upstairs locked bedroom and a locked store-room downstairs off Bed 3. This is NOT an apartment, but our beautiful holiday home, so there is plenty of room to spread out. Other things to note We have wonderful neighbours and we ask that you respect their privacy and the peacefulness of the area. Although the house is not set up for babies, toddlers or very young children, we are open to accommodating the older child under 12 years of age.
