Charming Bed & Breakfast with en-suite bathroom

A welcoming comfortable Maison de Maître tastefully renovated keeping the French style mixed with a touch of modern. The house sits on 4 acres within the French countryside north of Bordeaux surrounded by Cognac vines and sunflowers. The space A beautiful, calm getaway providing a lovely French experience. The bedrooms are comfy and spacious with king size beds and great mattresses for a good sleep, one is a twin bedded room. There is plenty of space to sit and relax inside or out, with a large comfortable lounge that has a wood fire in the winter and is cool in the summer. In the kitchen, where you can help yourself to coffee or tea, there is a large dining table where you can sit, maybe with others, or have a table to yourself outside or in the lounge. Guest access You will need a car to get around the area and to reach the house. The quieter roads let you get to the ports, beaches, nearby towns including pretty coastal villages and larger ports of Royan and La Rochelle, and to the vineyards and Cognac easily. Plenty of parking with easy access to the house. During your stay We live on site and will be there to meet and greet you and we can be as available as you need. Other things to note This is the first year of opening since we renovated the house. We hope to welcome guests from all over Europe and the UK. We are family friendly and happy to provide cots and highchairs at no extra cost. Some rooms will take an extra bed for a child, for which we add a small cost, please ask if you would like an extra bed when you book. There is a large, modern and sociable kitchen with a lovely dining area and which has French doors that lead out to the terrace if you fancy al fresco eating. We can also provide locally sourced home cooked evening meals cooked by our in-house chef when booked in advance. If there are several of you booking together, we are happy to organise a barbeque or delicious meals by prior arrangement. We have a large 10m x 5m pool, which is surrounded by grass which you are welcome to use. The pool is unheated and generally available May - August. We also have a woodfired hot tub with bubbles and lights which sits adjacent to the terrace and is available by arrangement (at least 8 hours in advance). There is an additional cost for the hot tub which can be made ready for you between 5.00 - 8.00pm and then remains hot for the evening for your use only. There is a farm adjacent to the grounds and from time to time farm yard noises can be heard.
