Moraine Hills State Park is a 10 min. walk , Chain o' Lakes State Park (public boat launch) is nearby. There is a bike trail off the back yard that connects to 100's of miles of bike trails. You may have a campfire and enjoy some s'mores:) (local ord. apply). Six Flags Great America in about a 35 min. We hope you will make yourself at home in this comfortable duplex. It is a casual space with room to spread out a little. The large sunny dining room opens to the spacious kitchen. If you enjoy cooking, help yourself to the herb garden, tomatoes & peppers, & quite possibly a watermelon! There is a TV in the living room that includes Netflix. One bedroom has a queen bed, the other bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed. The kitchen offers all the basic pots, pans & utensils, as well as coffee, tea, and basic condiments. There is a selection of books for both children & adults. Scrabble, cards ,games, etc.. There are lots of flowers, birds, butterflies as well as other wildlife. Great for photography. Parking for boat trailer. You will have a separate & private entrance, in addition, a patio door off the dining room that leads to your private patio. You will also have a gas grill outside off the kitchen. Recreational fires are allowed in our fire pit per city ordinance. There is ample parking for your boat trailer here. We are generally available if you need us. We respect the amount of privacy you desire, however, if there is maintenance that needs to be attended to, you may see us around once in a while. A diverse & quiet neighborhood is out the front of the property, however your space ( patio, gardens, campfire etc... is in the rear of the property. You will feel like you are more in the "country". It is a farm-like setting & private out (URL HIDDEN) You will need a car to get around. There is a Metra Station here in town, & the nearby towns of Crystal Lake, Woodstock, Fox Lake as well. All will get you into the city of Chicago in about an hour or so.
