Catan Cottage is situated in the main courtyard area next to the impressive 14th century Keep and close to an extensive lawned area. Catan has recently been refurbished. This self catering cottage sleeps four guests in one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. All accommodation is located on the ground floor. The cottage boast all mod cons including free wifi and a log burner. Up to two dogs are welcome at Catan Cottage. The space Catan Cottage is located in the small private estate of Kames Castle, nestled between Kames Bay and beautiful Scottish Countryside. This cosy self-catering cottages is one of 7 cottages located throughout 20 acres of private grounds, comprising extensive lawns, a wooded area and an 18th Century walled garden. A number of facilities are available for guest use during the summer months including a BBQ, an all-weather tennis court, small putting green, croquet and football goals - all at no extra cost. Other things to note Guests are asked to take suitable care when staying at Kames, particularly those staying with children. There is an open stream that runs at the edge of the estate – please note that this has no fence surround. Our groundsman works throughout the year and often uses machinery, for example to mow lawns and chop logs. A number of areas in the grounds are marked ‘Private’ or ‘No Unauthorised Access’ – these must be strictly adhered to. Finally, in an effort to encourage wildlife into the estate, the wooded area is – as far as possible – left to grow naturally so inevitably has fallen branches, leaves and some muddy areas.
