Self contained dog friendly cottage in a peaceful rural setting on a small hobby farm. Enjoy country hospitality in nearby villages Dungog, Clarencetown, Paterson, Vacy, Gresford and historic Morpeth. We are around an hours drive to many Hunter Valley attractions such as wine regions, Barrington Tops, Gloucester, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens & Newcastle beaches. Farm stay can include feeding time for ducks, chooks, cows and horses should you desire. Kids (of all ages) can collect eggs too. Guest access Please see other things to note for guest access on the property. Other things to note Cast a lure into the dam and try for an Australian bass, there are some big ones in there. Wander around the front of the property or sit on the veranda for a bit of native bird watching and listen to their beautiful songs. Grab some carrots and feed the cows and horses over the fence or join us for feeding time to hand feed chooks and ducks and snap some pics of the kids doing so. External access to the laying boxes offers easy egg collection for kids of all ages. If you rise early you may get to snap a pic of the wallabies feeding in the front yard, however, move slowly and quietly as they are shy. If you’re the active type bring your bike or runners and ride, run or hike the length of Welshmans Creek Road. It’s mostly a dirt road meandering through farmland over rolling hills. It’s a no through public road mostly devoid of traffic and is a nice walk with the family and dogs to enjoy the scenery also. Registration Details PID-STRA-3661
