A comfy private space attached to the 1950's farmhouse, has its entrance & bathroom. You might hear kookaburras & owls, spot kangaroos, pat sheep or pick greens from the veggie garden. Enjoy a wine & winter fire under the stars. Cooking and valley views at the refitted farm shed with BBQ, toaster, microwave, fridge, heating & cooling. Situated 10-minutes from the seaside Pt Elliot. 40-minutes from the ferry to Kangaroo Island. 1-hour from Adelaide International airport. The space The Suite is light and airy in summer and warm and cosey in winter. Our property embraces permaculture and regenerative agriculture with abundant produce in season from our vegetable gardens. We have numerous spaces for you to enjoy, perhaps a picnic by the Dam, Yoga on the lawn, or a glass or two watching the Hindmarsh Valley sunset. Your suite is equipped with lots of interesting books & DVDs comfy couch as well as tea & coffee supplies. Linger longer, stay in bed, or enjoy the dawn chorus of bird song with an early walk (stay in your PJs if you want & take your cuppa with you) Cooking facilities are clean and basic including a BBQ as well as a toaster, microwave, and all the utensils required including a fridge. We supply the condiments compliments of the Farm: dressings, oil, salt/pepper, jam, Vegemite, butter, tomato sauce, mustard etc. as well as seasonal herbs & greens from the garden. If you do require a supermarket, chemist etc they are a 10 minute drive. This farm stay is a bit unique, we think it's a pretty special place. You will love it if you want a natural setting and to feel part of the outdoors. It's a farm experience for people who appreciate the outdoors and nature. Guest access We prefer you to feel at home and enjoy the farm like we do. You'll have private access to your room & the refitted shed, and be free to wander the gardens & trees. There's a great view from the shed where you'll be able to eat your bacon & egg breakfast, have a glass of wine and watch the sunset, or cook a BBQ dinner. Maybe do some sketching of the fabulous view or just hang out on the lawn with book. Other things to note We farm following permaculture and regerative agriculture practices and we do not use any chemicals in the process. You will be welcome to pick some herbs & greens from the garden. This is a unique space with a special ambience. The Suite is seperate from the main cooking (BBQ) area which looks out over the valley. You will feel like you have gotten away, especially if you live in a more urban setting. It's relaxing here for those who like nature & who like the outdoors.
