Internally the chic and elegant apartment was extremely high quality in every respect and meticulously clean throughout. It's situated in a small quiet residential block of only 9 apartments opposite the St Kilda Botanical Gardens. This ideal location was very close to all the amenities of St Kilda yet sufficiently away from the hustle and bustle to be quiet and relaxing. A superb bathroom featured a big walk-in shower with plenty of very hot water, lots of good quality towels, quality tiling and almost 360 degrees of wall mirrors. The kitchen also was well equipped with everything we needed to cook our meals when we ate at home. The living room was really comfortable and well equipped with tv, internet etc with ample comfortable sofa/chairs The spacious bedroom has a huge, extremely comfortable bed with high quality bed linens and ample wardrobe/storage space. The large windows and French doors to the garden allowed the morning sun to shine into the bedroom - a wonderful way to start the day (there were also black-out blinds for those who wanted to use them). Externally the garden, which is exclusively for the use of Ananda's guests, afforded plenty of space and privacy with an excellent gas BBQ for our use. Being at the front of the building was never a problem as the planting around the railings provided complete privacy. The little fish-pond was a nice touch and the scent from the various shrubs and flowers was glorious. Plenty of shade to allow us to comfortably enjoy the outdoor space during the hot summer days. All in all Ananda hasn't cut any corners at all and all our needs had been anticipated and met down to the last detail. It was an absolute privilege to stay in Ananda's apartment. The House Manual provided all the information we needed and she was an excellent communicator in promptly replying to any queries we had. If you're looking for peace and quiet, comfort, quality surroundings and all your needs being met, then this is the place for you. We very much hope to return to this apartment when we're next over in Melbourne from the UK. Guest access Access to the apartment is via a security code which is provided prior to check in. The property has keyless entry and therefore it is not necessary to arrange handover of keys. An intercom system also facilitates access for your guests. As this is a ground floor apartment at the front of the building, it is also suitable for wheel chairs and disability access Other things to note For use of Bose sound system for late model iphones and android, we recommend bringing a "lightening jack to auxiliary cable".
