In the heart of D-Day ceremonies, (Sword Beach) in charming picturesque village - Hermanville-sur-Mer. Renovated barn part of former farm, shared driveway, Off road parking, small walled garden in front for outside eating. Open plan, unusual high-ceiling space, not suitable for children. Bedroom in the eaves looking over large lounge, modern bathroom on 1st floor. Kitchen/dining area on ground floor, dish washer. Bathroom: Extra wc in owners workshop on ground floor, washing machine available. The space Former farm built 1850 out of local Caen stone. Barn has small garden, table tennis table or deck chairs. Renovated with exposed stone walls. The owner uses part of it as a workshop from a separate entrance but will not do any work in it while you are there! 4 people maximum although okay for 6 during the 6th June week or short periods. 6th June & 14th July Parades usually go past the property which is on the main village street leading from beach. Guest access The barn is an independent building, the guests have their own keys. However the owner keeps a workshop on the ground floor in the barn, (their access is from a different door) guests can enter the workshop from barn to use extra wc or washing machine. Other things to note Cooking is on a halogen 2-ring hob and micro-wave with an Aga range for winter . Fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric kettle, toaster, French press coffee jug, plenty of equipment. Plus mobile Barbecue (for outside only). Linen, beach towels and normal towels provided.
