Desert Dorado is a family (dog) friendly ranch-style home halfway between Joshua Tree National Park & Pioneertown. The home is outfitted w/ vintage finds, rich textiles & desert boho vibes. The property has mature Joshua Trees, plenty of outdoor space for relaxing & entertaining. There is a playground & dog park right out front. It’s in Sky Harbor a very safe and pristine neighbourhood close to nearby shops/cafes. Both JT Park and Pappy & Harriettes are under 15 min. Stay in or go out! The space **NEW infrared sauna** This California tractor ranch style single-family home with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms has a great flow and layout that lets all guests have their privacy. The master bedroom has high ceilings, a large closet and access to the patio. The master and 2nd bedroom share a Jack and Jill bathroom with a newly remodeled walk-in shower and modern vessel sink. Don’t worry the doors can be locked if you’d like to keep the bathroom all to yourself! We provide towels and toiletries (NEW: shampoo, conditioner, body wash). The backyard is fenced in and features a large covered patio with a dining table, hammock, corn hole, fire pit and BBQ. There are several matured Joshua Trees on the property. The kitchen is stocked with cooking essentials (oil, salt, sugar), dishes, cookware and a French press for your morning java. Right outside the front door you will see views to the San Bernardino snow-top mountains and a park with a playground, fenced in dog area and walking trails. (Please note: No microwave, no TV.) Guest access You will have access to the entire house (3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms) except the garage will be closed off as we store our extra linens and supplies there. The driveway has ample parking space and there is no shortage of street parking. We have a large backyard which is completely fenced in and safe for dogs and children. Other things to note CHECK-IN: Guests will be able to self check-in. I’ll give you a code for the lock box. Please put the keys back when you checkout at 11am. If you need a late checkout please coordinate ahead of time. DOGS: Dogs are welcome with a $25 fee per stay per pet. We ask you please pick up droppings from the yard during your stay. There is also a dog park across the street. BATHROOM AMENITIES: We provide bath/shower towels and hand towels and toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash). We provide hand soap and soaking salts for your use as well. Please put dirty towels in baskets in the rooms when you leave. BEDDING: We will have beds fully made upon your arrival. The queen beds are Nectar foam mattresses and pillows. The king bed is a Saatva organic foam mattress with Avocado pillows. Luxury sleeping! No need to strip beds. KITCHEN ESSENTIALS: There is a full stove/oven and dishwasher. There is NO microwave. The refrigerator has filtered water but you will need to bring your own ice. There are ice trays in the freezer. We provide some coffee for your stay. There is a french press and kettle for your morning Java. We also provide salt, pepper, olive oil and have canisters with flour, long grain rice and sugar. There are spices as well in the cabinets. TV: There is no TV but if you have WIFi you can view shows/movies through your laptop or tablet. CLEANING: We will leave some basic cleaning supplies for you. Please do NOT use hard cleaners on the butcher block. Dish soap and water usually does the trick. There is a broom closest with a Shark hand held vacuum, swiffer, mop and broom. If you have pets and they shed please try to clean up after them to avoid any additional extraneous cleaning charges. RING DOORBELL: We have installed a Ring doorbell with a camera on the front door. The doorbell lets us know when there is movement by the door and is mainly for security when the ranch is unoccupied and packages are delivered. You can also ring it and talk to me upon your arrival. AC/HEATER: The AC/heater runs through a Nest thermostat. We have set the temperatures but if at any time you’d like them modified please text or you can try to do it yourself. COWBOY POOL: The cowboy pool will be operational during warmer months April - October. It has a pump and is treated with chlorine. If you use it please cover it before you leave. FIRE PIT AND IN-DOOR STOVE We have firewood for your use. The fire pit is outside perfect for star gazing. The stove is also operational. Please use caution and try to dispose of any excess ashes/debris if you can. BBQ We have a gas BBQ. We do not guarantee keeping gas full. It’s $20 to fill it up at Walmart. INFRARED SAUNA There is an infrared saunas on the patio. Please connect to indoor socket. When done unplug and wrap chord in basket. Set and select temperature (max 140 degrees) and timer (max 60 min).
