It features three tastefully decorated bedrooms, including two double bedrooms and a twin room, ensuring a comfortable stay for small groups of family or friends. The interiors encompass three charming reception rooms with wooden floors and delightful old fireplaces (non-functional), along with a fully equipped kitchen, complete with essential appliances like a kettle, toaster, microwave, oven, fridge, and separate freezer. Enjoy cosy evenings in the sitting room, equipped with a wood burner, TV, and DVD player. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. The cottage is child-friendly, offering a cot and high chair upon request, along with a selection of children's DVDs, toys, and books to keep the little ones entertained. Consider ordering a supermarket delivery to stock up before arrival. Step outside to the expansive south-facing private gardens that provide stunning views towards the Black Mountains. The courtyard at the rear offers convenient parking and ample space for BBQs and relaxation. A fire bowl is available for guests to roast marshmallows as they watch the sunset paint the sky over the mountains. Just a short stroll from the cottage lies Battlelands and The Viking Games, where guests can partake in a variety of engaging activities such as Axe Throwing, Archery, Laserclayz, Paintball, Junior Paintball, and competitive Nordic Throwing games. Note that age restrictions apply for certain activities, and there are additional fees, but there truly is something for everyone. Location Highlights: This cottage is ideally situated near the renowned book town of Hay on Wye, with the cathedral cities of Hereford, Worcester, and Gloucester just a short drive away. The charming Welsh market towns of Monmouth and Abergavenny are also within easy reach. Local shops and pubs are merely 2 miles down the road, and the cottage is conveniently close to several wedding venues, including The Haybarn in Dulas, Lower House Farm near Longtown, and Dragons Gate & Dewsall Court a little further afield. Other things to note Please note, due to our rural location, our internet speed is not fast and our mobile reception is a little patchy. But perfectly good enough for average usage. EV charging of vehicles at the property is strictly prohibited. At the farm, we also have a glamping site (three tents and a shepherds hut) called Up on a Hill, which sleeps 17 people, which can book separately. The glamping site is a short stroll from the cottage.
