The Quantock Vintage Caravan

1930s caravan with original features. A perfect getaway from city life. Peaceful setting & exclusive, private holiday let -no other holiday makers on site. Situated at the centre of our 40 acre farm including a nature reserve & woodland in a beautiful hidden Quantock valley, surrounded by wildlife. Cosy, comfortable caravan interior. Fully-equipped, bedding & towels provided. Cooker & sink in caravan. Separate bathroom with flush toilet & sink. Outdoor hot shower. Comfy garden furniture & BBQ The space The Quantock Vintage Caravan is an original 1930's caravan which has been lovingly restored and maintains many of its original features. Constructed in 1932, only two of this particular style were made and they were both named after the daughters of the man who built them - ours being called 'Angela'. The whereabouts of the other caravan is currently unknown making ours very rare indeed, and a one-off holiday experience not only for the originality of the caravan, but also the unique and fantastic location it is set in. Bedding, blankets and towels are provided, along with all kitchen plates, glasses, cups, pans, utensils, cutlery etc. Tea/coffee/sugar/pint of milk and basket of eggs from our free range hens are also provided. There is a fridge next to the caravan for to use during your stay, alongside a plug socket for charging phones etc. Plumbed in toilet and sink. Gas heated outdoor shower (all on a mains water supply). The cooker has a 2 ring hob and a grill. The original caravan oven is unfortunately no longer operational. The bed is a small double. In the caravan there are books, information and maps of local walks on the Quantocks and pub recommendations. Also leaflets of local attractions and interesting places to visit. BBQ's allowed, bbq grill provided, bring your own charcoal/firelighters etc. Dogs very welcome (and we have had cats come and stay too!), however please let us know in advance if bringing them with you. Dogs are £10 each per stay. Please add this option to your booking before payment. It is worth noting that we have two friendly dogs who are free roaming here during the day and likely to interact with your dogs. There is an EV charger in the parking area next to the caravan. If you have an electric vehicle you are very welcome to use the charger but you are required to pay for all EV charge use during your stay. (Usage monitored by us via an app). We own an electric vehicle and this charger is the only one we have at home. We aim to charge our vehicle in between stays so we do not disturb our guests, however on odd occasions we may need to park near to the caravan overnight to charge our car, and we will always let you know in advance if this is likely. Guest access Vehicle access to the farm is via a half mile long farm track (non tarmac but we keep it regularly maintained) through our wooded valley. The track is not suitable for very low sports type vehicles, or large motorhome type vehicles. There is a parking area right next to the caravan exclusively for you to use. Guests are welcome to explore all areas of our gardens, fields and woodland.
