Description
When Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in 1756, the Spycher had already been in use for 20 years. Restored, it is now available to you. The extraordinary thing about the Spycher is the Mühlebach brook which flows underneath the Spycher. The gentle rippling of the stream invites you to enjoy and linger in nature. The Spycher is reserved entirely for you so that you can enjoy the tranquility. The Spycher can be booked from March to the end of September. (Weather permitting) The space Since this Spycher is an approx. 300-year-old property, the room heights/beams are correspondingly low in places (approx. 1.70 m). The floors could tell stories and do so with their creaking from time to time. I would not recommend walking barefoot in the Spycher because the floor is so old you can catch wood splinters. The Spycher is modern and brightly lit. What could be preserved has been preserved. Since the Spycher is not insulated, there is a small electric heater and a fan are available. The part of the Spycher which you will occupy is the first and second floor (gallery). On the first floor there is a dining table, a Nespresso coffee maker incl. capsules, a fridge, a cupboard with dishes, glasses, a sofa with table, as well as books. On the second floor (gallery) is the 180x200 cm bed. Duvets, pillows (including bed linens) are provided. If more than two people want to come, we have another sofa bed in the living area. There is no running water in the Spycher. The toilet and shower are located outside, respectively in an outbuilding just behind the Spycher. The kitchenette is also located in the outdoor area and consists of two electric hotplates and a sink including hot water (boiler). Cookware/utensils are provided. The idyllic spot behind the Spycher invites you to linger. At the large wooden table, you can enjoy the self-prepared meal and, with luck, hear the chirping of the crickets and the chirping of the birds. On hot days, you can dip your feet in the wonderfully cool stream. The Spycher is suitable for two adults and two children from approx. 6-8 years. If children come, the parents are responsible for their safety. The stairs inside the Spycher are very steep and pose a risk of falling. The Spycher is therefore rather unsuitable for toddlers. Under the Spycher runs a small stream and above it there is a wooden bridge without railings. Guest access From Rohrbach train station, our location can be reached on foot in about 5 minutes. Parking is available free of charge directly at the Spycher. Other things to note Breakfast is available on request for an extra charge.
