Description
The Sea Cubby is a unique wee holiday lodge overlooking the Solway Firth. It is perched just above the waves with the most beautiful views across Portling Bay to the white sands of Merse Head nature reserve. The Lodge is not in a holiday park it stands alone with it's own private driveway, parking and garden. It’s so quiet, a retreat to escape and relax, by sitting watching and listening to the waves. The Lodge has a large glass roofed deck. Well behaved dogs are considered, please ask first. The space Large glass covered veranda/deck facing the sea beach and cliffs towards Merse Head Nature reserve. The deck has a large wooden table a bench and 2 chairs, a sun lounger, drying rack. There is a large open fire with chimney and BBQ Grill. There is wood provided. Private grassy lawn area with a hand carved wooden seat, tree's, shrubs and flowers sweeping round the lodge. An alpine flower terrace. Gravel driveway with a concrete parking place. living area is all open plan, light and airy with a vaulted ceiling and 2 velux windows. There are sliding patio doors that lead out onto the covered veranda doubling the space. The bedrooms and bathroom are to the back of the lodge. The double bedroom has a Dormeo luxury memory foam mattress for a good nights sleep. Large double shower very modern with sliding doors and a demist mirror. luxury cotton towels are provided. We have hot water Guest access The whole space is accessible to guests staying in the lodge. The garden has a post and wire fence all around with a gateway to the drive. When the gate is shut it’s totally enclosed for dogs. Other things to note Please note that we have Friday and Monday changeover days for short stays 3 to 4 nights all year round. In July and August we only accept weekly bookings from Friday to Friday. If your not sure please send an enquiry and we will let you know. Registration details DG00202F
