Within the close proximity from the boarding schools of Dalanwala, including Welham Girls’ & Welham Boys’ Schools, the colonial building is over 100 years old, a remnant of beautiful architecture with huge arches & high ceilings. This colonial bungalow is green,quiet, classy, tasteful and in one of Dehradun's oldest and most central neighbourhood - Dalanwala, next to Survey Chowk & EC Road. ISBT is 6 km away, Railway station is 3 km away, & Rajpur Road/Ghanta Ghar are within 3 km The space The Chalet is a modern self contained, independent unit with all modern conveniences ( air-conditioning, electric kettle, microwave, refrigerator, room heater and WiFi) . The terrace has a coffee table overlooking the front lawn lined with lychee trees. The stairs lead you up to the Chalet which opens into comfortable double bed. Additionally, a single bed is located in the living area along with a vintage dining table and four chairs. The bathroom has a shower, sink, toilet and hot water geyser. The Chalet is above the main property which is a colonial bungalow. This colonial bungalow was built in the late 1800's .The most beautiful experience during your stay will be the silence and peace offered by our orchard. Dalanwala is the oldest colony in Dehradun with only a handful such houses, while getting around one will observe how the area has developed into a concrete city. The house is centrally located and is in close proximity to Hospitals, Schools, Banks (one being right opposite the house) Chemists,Bakers, Provision stores are just a quick walk 2 to 5 minutes away. You can reach the nearest market i.e Paltan Bazaar in 10 minutes by car and approximately the same time for the closest Mall. If you decide to book with us - firstly, welcome and secondly, to help us process your booking request quickly, please let us know the following: 1. How many people will be staying in our place? Are you coming with family or friends? We normally require all our guests id proofs. 2. Would you have your own food or would like us to arrange something for you? 3. Will you have your own vehicle or would need assistance travelling around? 4. Have you had a chance to read our house rules, and is everything clear? 5. What attracted you to our listing? This helps to see what we are doing best :-) Guest access The Chalet overlooks the lawn area which is flanked by Litchi, Mango,Guava and other trees lending an old world charm where you are woken up by the chirping of birds :) Guests will have access to the lawn area. Other things to note 1. This is an ancestral property and should be respected in memory of our ancestors. 2. The room is upstairs and has an external independent staircase for access at all times. 3. During bad weather (rain and storms) there can be random power cuts which get back to normal as the weather clears up. Though there is power back up provided on property however air-conditioning, hot water geyser and refrigerator may not work on power back up. 4. We provide our guests with home cooked vegetarian food on request at minimal cost. Please mention any special requests prior to your stay so it can be made more suitable to you. 5. For long stays, we can make flexible arrangements. We can discuss the same. Security 1. Boundary wall around the entire site 2. Property is gated at all times 3. Onsite caretaker to ensure your stay is safe and comfortable 4. Please let the caretaker know in the event of you are going to leave or arrive late at night or early morning as the gate remains locked for security reasons.
