Nestled in the heart of the Ariège Pyrenees Natural Park, Gîte Chouette is a family-friendly and dog-friendly retreat, perfect for recharging your batteries. Located on the banks of the Arac River, it is one of three cottages converted from former stables. Spacious and well-equipped, it features a secure, enclosed garden for children and dogs. The windows offer lovely views of the river and local wildlife. A quiet and comfortable place to explore the Pyrenees with your family. The space Gîte Chouette comfortably sleeps 4 to 6 guests, making it ideal for families or small groups. Upstairs, there is a cozy double bedroom, while downstairs features a separate bedroom with bunk beds, plus a sofa bed in the living area. All bedding is provided for a comfortable stay. Ther.e is also a TV The cottage includes a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge-freezer, oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, and filter coffee machine, giving you everything you need for relaxed self-catering. The stylish bathroom is supplied with fresh towels. At the back of the property, the River Arac flows directly beneath the windows, offering a peaceful soundtrack and ever-changing natural views. To the front, an enclosed private garden provides outdoor seating, an umbrella for shade, a firepit, and a barbecue—perfect for family meals and evenings outside. On cooler evenings, a pellet stove provides gentle, cozy warmth (Pellets are available for an additional charge). Guests also have access to a larger shared garden, where a communal firepit invites you to extend your evenings, share stories, and reflect on the day’s adventures under the Pyrenean sky. Guest access The Gîte Chouette has a private entrance and a fully enclosed front garden, ensuring peace and privacy throughout your stay. We live on site and will be delighted to welcome you in person and hand over the keys. If we are unavailable at your arrival time, a secure key safe is provided for a smooth and independent check-in. On site, guests can also enjoy our popular restaurant and bar with a riverside terrace—perfect for relaxing with a drink or meal while taking in the peaceful views of the River Arac. We are always happy to help during your stay and can offer advice on local attractions, restaurants, and the best walking routes in the area, with breathtaking views across the Pyrenees.
