The 50 sqm apartment, renovated in 2019, is on the first floor (no elevator) of a medieval building. It consists of a large living room, which opens onto a kitchenette, a living area equipped with a sofa bed, a dining area and a bathroom. In the loft (h160cm) is the bedroom, all furnished with antique furniture. The house is located in a pedestrian area in the historic center of Florence, a stone's throw from the Duomo (190m) and Piazza Signoria (260m) and from Ponte Vecchio (600m) and from the SanLorenzo Market (500m). The space The living area includes a kitchen equipped with a fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and kettle. In the dining area, there is a table with 4 chairs and a television. The space includes a 1700s wardrobe and a Spanish cabinet. There is also a double sofa bed, an ancient marble sculpture and some modern and antique paintings. An easy modern staircase allows access to the mezzanine furnished with a 19th-century table and a 200 x 160 cm double bed. Other paintings and accessories complete the decor. The height of the mezzanine is about 160 cm, bordered by a Tuscan balustrade from the 1700s in the front part. As seen in the photos, the apartment includes original architectural details of the ancient tower house dating back to 1200, such as exposed beams, a sandstone pillar in a niche, with a Renaissance bronze fountain, stone jambs, brick arches and original terracotta floor of the period. Guest access Our guests will have access to all areas of the house. Other things to note The house is located in the oldest part of the city, a stone's throw from the Roman decumanus, and is situated in a medieval building of which some architectural elements are still visible such as a fragment of an arch, pietra serena doorposts and brick vaults. The location guarantees that you will experience the historic center of Florence in all its beauty and liveliness.
