Perfect contained room

We have recently installed solar panels and battery-backup to cope with the loadshedding as well as a large water storage tank for water outages Snug cozy contained room has a double bed, kitchenette with two gas plates and bathroom with a shower. It's not the biggest space (23,5 square metres) but has almost everything you need for a stay in one of Johannesburg's beautiful old tree-lined suburbs. The area is safe and close to the train. The space The space is neat and small but really well contained with a double bed and plenty of cupboard. The kitchenette has a two-plate gas cooker and solid cooking equipment, plates and glasses. The bathroom has a basin, shower and loo. It is separate from the main house with separate entrance. Because the space is small - we have not put a fridge in the kitchen area. To make up there is a large fridge with freezer space in the next door laundry room - where there is also a microwave oven. Our TV died more than 18 years ago and there is no TV in the room. Guest access Visitors can use the garden and the natural pool. There is a laundry we all use. Other things to note We have installed solar panels and battery back up - but encourage visitors to be careful with electricity usage so we can get through the load shedding. This means hair dryers and electric kettles have to be used carefully - preferably not at night when we may be running of stored battery power A water storage tank and filters has been installed so that we can manage through long water outages.
