Relaxing getaway on 22 acres w/ breathtaking views

The walkout Lower-Level Guest Suite of our home is yours to enjoy valley views and nature on 22 acres of fields and woods next to Big Spring State Park. Relax, play board games, foosball or arcade basketball inside or enjoy the fire pit, disc golf course, stargaze, hike, play horseshoes or picnic at the pavilion. Several State Parks are within an hour’s drive that offer fishing, kayaking & swimming. Only 15 minutes off the turnpike at Willow Hill exit Route 75. Watch out for the Amish buggies! The space The property is set up for all ages to enjoy the outdoors and indoors. Outside, there is the large paver patio with a variety of seating, large picnic table, child's picnic table, firepit, and gas grill. There are several walking paths with areas of special interest to explore, a disc, (Frisbee) golf course, and horseshoe pits. Inside the foosball table, arcade basketball, games and puzzles are available to entertain all. Medicinal herbs, vegetables and fruit are grown in the many gardens around the home and if interested in a free tour, just let us know. Chakra Clearing and Reiki sessions for a fee can be requested. Star gazing, hiking, and sporting activities are available here and in the nearby state forests and game lands. Big Spring State Park and Fowler’s Hollow State Park are within 5-15 minutes away. Cowans Gap, Colonor Denning, and Little Buffalo State Parks are 14-24 miles away and 2 have large lakes. Burns Valley is a little valley extending off the very long and beautiful Path Valley. Being located on a hill in the tip of Franklin County, & just over the Perry, Juniata, & Fulton County lines, one is surrounded by picturesque mountain views. Please use caution when passing Amish buggies. Guest access Full use of the lower level suite of the house with private entrance with large paver patio. There are 2 bedrooms (5 beds), 2 full baths, washer, dryer, fully stocked kitchen, wood stove, great room with a futon that can be used as another sleeping location, chairs, foosball, arcade basketball, games, puzzles, discs (frisbees) and books. Two cots & 2 single mattress are also provided to accommodate larger groups. A limited supply of wood is provided for the stove and outdoor fire pit. All other wood piles are for the home owners use & do not sell wood. Wifi internet via Starlink access is available and the password is noted in the suite. There is seating for 15 at the open kitchen counter and the two bar top tables plus a table that accommodates six. Outdoor chairs are provided to enjoy the scenery, fire pit and stars. Stroll around the property playing the 9 basket disc golf course or walk to designated areas where bench seating offers various views of the valley, woods & stream. The pavilion with 8 picnic tables and rustic outdoor kitchen along with the horse shoe pits, outdoor showers and doubled sided outdoor toilet facilities are shared areas. The gardens and orchard produce, besides all the wood piles are for the home owners use only & not for sale. Pond swimming or fishing and drones are not allowed. If you need anything or have any questions feel free to ask. Other things to note If exploring the nearby state forests and game lands be aware for wildlife and know when hunting seasons are open. Our neighbors appreciate their privacy and have their border marked with purple paint. Do not trespass on their land. Please review the Purple Paint information and the map provided with special sites and boundaries when venturing out into the woods. There is an added pet fee to bring maximum 2 pets. There is an outside kennel available for use. When outside, pets must be under your control at all times. If they do “their business” in the fields or woods, you do not have to pick up after them. Otherwise, use the shovel near the outside air handler & deposit it in the bushes or field. Do not leave full little bags!!! There are dogs in the upstairs apartment who will bark on anyone’s arrival or loud unusual noise. Reservations are not generally available after the first week in December through March, but we can open for special reservation requests.
