Description

Moat Farm has beautiful coastal towns and historic cities within easy reach. A perfect break for couples and families. The annexed cottage attached to the main farmhouse is spacious and self-contained. Your own private rear entrance, well equipped kitchen and dining area plus plenty of parking. There are fantastic cycling and walking routes on the doorstep and lovely country pubs along the way for refreshments. 20 minutes from Southwold, Dunwich, Walberswick and 45 minutes from The space Halesworth and Bungay are the closest market towns with a great selection of independent shops, cafes and even a pottery studio. We can help advise you of places to go depending on your interests. We often enjoy the beach, canoeing, cycling and walking. Norwich with its cobbled streets, cathedral and shops is less than an hour away for a lovely contrast. The house is filled with quirky features and loads of character. Please note we do have low ceilings and doorways upstairs so you will have to duck in places. All rooms pictured are for guest use only as we have our own kitchen and living space at the opposite end of the farmhouse. We have tried to make it welcoming for couples and families alike. There is a small playroom, booster dining seat, baby bath and travel cot available on request so you can pack light if bringing young children. There is also a cosy area to relax by the woodburner downstairs in the winter months and the annexe has its own patio screened off from the main garden to enjoy in the warmer weather. Please note children will need supervision outside due to a swimming pool, pond and moat. You will have central heating, underfloor heating as well as the woodburning stove so you can enjoy a cosy farmhouse stay all year round. Firewood is provided. Fans and portable aircon available during summer months. Kitchen is fully equipped with essential utensils, crockery, cutlery etc, nespresso coffee machine and fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Robot vacuum also available as no one wants to clean on holiday but it's impossible to have a day at the beach without some sand following you home! A travel cot or floor mattress is available on request and makes the accommodation suitable for up to 5 people. Please note the cottage is self contained but adjacent to our family home similar to a semi detached setup. Some noise may filter through the interconnecting door. We look forward to welcoming you to Suffolk. Guest access Private access to kitchen, dining room, downstairs shower room, steep stairs access directly into the twin bedroom. The double is accessed via the twin room and playroom. Enclosed private patio with gate to main garden. Check in is contactless via your own back gate off the driveway. There are steps to the property. The cottage has steep stairs and internal steps so may not suitable for those with mobility difficulties Other things to note Whilst very remote and peaceful, please expect some white noise and passing traffic from relatives nearby business which shares the access lane or from our family coming and going across the adjacent main garden.
