Surrounded by nature, this cozy retreat offers the perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comfort. Step outside and discover a beautiful lake on the grounds, ideal for a serene walk or quiet reflection. Inside, the Shepherd’s Hut is a warm and inviting haven, complete with a king-size bed that promises restful nights, double glazing, and central heating to keep you comfortable no matter the weather. The space is thoughtfully decorated with cozy touches, creating a welcoming atmosphere where you can truly unwind. You'll also find a TV with a DVD player for those quiet nights in, and a fully equipped kitchenette with a gas hob, small gas oven, sink, and everything you need to prepare a lovely meal. For added luxury, indulge in the unique outdoor bathing experience—a two-person tub located just outside, where you can relax and enjoy the crackling sounds of the fire pit while soaking under the stars. For an added experience pop under the warm outdoor shower also! Firewood is provided free of charge, so you can enjoy cooking over the grill or simply gather around the fire and watch the sunset. (Says ‘hot tub’ on the listing as there’s no option for ‘outdoor bath’ on Airbnb) Conveniently located within the hut is an enclosed shower and toilet, making your stay as comfortable as it is peaceful. A spacious veranda is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine as you watch the sun dip below the horizon, and with parking right outside the Shepherd's Hut, you can easily settle in and start your getaway. Whether you're seeking a romantic escape, a quiet retreat, or a peaceful break immersed in nature, this Shepherd’s Hut offers everything you need to relax, unwind, and reconnect with the beauty around you. Guest access Guests are welcomed to walk around the lake situated within the grounds but please be respectful of other guests. We have and additional 3 well spaced small cabins within the grounds. There is a lovely scenic walk along the river Tone which follows a public footpath straight to the fantastic local pub, The White Horse Inn. Slip off your socks and shoes to cross the river adjacent to the Shepherds Hut when the water is low. Turn left on the footpath and enjoy a peaceful 10 minute stroll to the pub! Other things to note Guests are welcome to use the fire pit and grill outside the Shepherds Hut. We supply the wood and matches free of charge but do not supply any outdoor cooking equipment.
