Many thanks for your understanding :-) Manoir La Croix de La Jugie is a beautiful family manor in rural France; perfect large property to get away from it all. Stunning views, 6 acre estate, heated pool. Sleeps 16+ (maximum 21 people in the house). Available for weddings and retreats. Extremely baby/child friendly. The space Our beautiful Manor House, Manoir la Croix de la Jugie, is set in the heart of the rolling Limousin countryside - with picture perfect rustic French views. It is very close to the Perigord-Limousin National Park and only half an hour from the Dordogne. La Jugie is set in 6 acres of lovely land, which includes - heated, gated swimming pool - large rambling field for messing around and mindful walks or holding a family sports day - more formal garden area, - rustic barbeque under a covered terrace (perfect for shade on a hot summer's day). There's a fire pit on the kitchen terrace and small orchard which overlooks a perfect French view. We have a small bike collection (and bike pump for those flats!), croquet sets and bats and balls to play with, and the games room in the Manoir has a billiard table and a host of board games. There's a ping pong table in the Bergerie cottage. The Bergerie cottage also has two extra staff bedrooms and yoga/fitness studio *for retreats only*. Mats and fitness equipment provided. PLEASE NOTE: pool in use May-Sept/Oct only. There are 8 bedrooms, six with their own bathrooms and two more which share a very large bathroom. There are several living areas: Grand Salon, Billiard Room, Dining Room and a large kitchen with another long dining table and wood-burning stove; you and your guests can also dine outside under the barn's canopy (which easily seats your whole group) or on the terrace for long lazy lunches and dinners. For a really relaxing holiday, we offer a catering service for you and your guests for an extra cost. With plenty of walking and cycling routes starting from the Manoir, and golf courses, riding schools and even a circus school nearby, you won't get bored! There are plenty of delicious traditional French restaurants within a few minutes drive and weekly markets or supermarkets for buying provisions. Perigueux, Angouleme, the Bordeaux wine region, Cognac, and the Massif Central are all perfect for day trips, even Paris is only 3 hours on the train. Limoges airport is 35 minutes' drive away with regular flights to London. The train station in Limoges is three hours to Paris and Bordeaux, Bergerac and Angouleme airports are also easily accessible by car. La Jugie is perfect for your big family reunion, long relaxing summer holiday, or weddings and group celebrations. We have a large barn attached to the main house which can host 80-100 guests for a sit-down dinner, and outdoor celebrations (with or without marquee) can also be organised. Ideal for weddings, anniversaries or special birthdays. We are super family friendly - the pool is fenced, cots, baby baths, high chairs, sterilising equipment and stair gates all available! Please note all rentals in peak season (mid-July & all August) are 7 nights minimum, running from Saturday-Saturday only. We do not accept pets. Guest access The whole estate is yours for the duration of your stay - perfect privacy but with a couple of neighbours up the lane if you should need a cup of sugar ;-) Other things to note We can arrange one-off or weekly catering for a super relaxing week or if you're celebrating a special occasion.
