You will need to rent a car but if you rent near hear, it is like $50 for a weekend. If I'm around, I can be your personal driver for a fee and take you to wherever you'd like to go. There is the long wharf theater for plays, as well as the Shubert in New Haven and Broadway in NYC is just 1.5 hours away.
