Garden Studio living area in a single-family Victorian home. Close to train, bus, and expressway, free street parking, friendly neighborhood, lush garden, easy access to Downtown, Lakefront activity, Cubs games. Nearby local park, coffee shops, restaurants, grocery store. The space This is a quiet, open-plan space with two sleeping areas that include two double beds, and one single daybed, for 3 beds total, dining area and workspace, where you can relax, and plan your local activities. There is always a lot to do in the City, and there is easy access to all modes of transportation. A little more than half way from the airport to the city center, accessible by car, train, bus, taxi or ride share. Experience all a real Chicago neighborhood has to offer, as well as being an easy trip to Downtown, and the Lakefront. A few miles due West of Wrigley Field. Local grocery, restaurants and a park. An environmentally friendly space, and the home is a Certified Wildlife Habitat. Recently upgraded whole house mesh wifi system. Guests can expect average speeds of around 100Mbps. Guest access You may use the entire Studio living space, which includes sleeping areas, dining area and workspace, and bathroom with shower. There is a separate entrance for guest use. Please note that the basic room charge is for one guest. There is an additional charge for each guest after that, up to a maximum occupancy of 3 , so please ensure you book for the correct number of guests. More information can be found in the house rules, so please do read those carefully. The "No Smoking" policy includes tobacco, marijuana and any other substance burned and inhaled, including vaping devices. Please note: Ring doorbells with cameras which can record audio and video are present at exterior guest and main house entrances, facing the street, for your security. The space is for reserved guests only. Visitors are not allowed. There is ample street parking - my block has permit parking, but I provide those passes at no charge for guests. Other things to note This is a quiet, diverse residential neighborhood, with tree-lined streets, pleasant gardens, a park, and walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, local sports bars and grocery shopping. It is a pretty safe neighborhood, but this is a big city, so be aware, and use common sense, and please do not leave doors unlocked when you go out. If parking on the street, do not leave valuables, especially electronics or GPS units, in your car. Since my space is a Certified Wildlife Habitat through the National Wildlife Federation, all kinds of wildlife may visit my property. I do not use chemical sprays or treatments of any kind in the garden. I am conscientious about manually removing bugs that may gain entry to the house. If you happen to be visited by a bug, let me know, and I will humanely remove it as soon as possible. I use common cleaning products inside the house, so please let me know before booking if you have sensitivities to fragrances or household products.
