Syat House by the river - Kusum Room

Exquisite airy fully staffed 4-bedroom house on the edge of a river, with flowing terraced lawns, surrounded by forested mountains & farmland. Each bedroom has stunning river views, tasteful decor, & a separate entrance. Absolutely serene, cut off from noise, the property brims with birds, butterflies, fragrant breezes, flowers, fruit trees, the call of animals across the river. There's a lovely open air lounge & swimming pool with fresh river water, no chemicals. The space Syat House is staffed by a courteous local team, from 8am to 10pm. You can wake to the sound of birds and the river. Expect tea and great meals in the lounge, overlooking the pool, or have it served by the river, but not in the rooms. Being open air, Nature spills into the lounge. Occasionally, that might mean swatting some insects. The rooms will be cleaned once a day. Incredibly warm and gentle, what the staff may lack in formal polish, they make up for in sheer hospitality. All rooms are non-smoking. The weather can range from warm to chilly within the same day, but is usually very comfortable through the year. In keeping with our love of Nature, the rooms are non-ac but the rooms are very cool, airy and comfortable, even in summer. Monsoons are majestic and lush. Winters are sunny, crisp, and exhilarating. There are great walks around. You can trek, picnic, swim in the pool or river, play games, read, hang with friends, or just drink in the peace. The rooms are completely mosquito-proofed, but Nature might still bring you some insect guests! On lucky days, you can see deer and other wild animals crossing the river. Birds, on the other hand, pretty much knock at your windows. And there are nights when you feel you can pluck stars out of the sky.
