Other things to note "A Patù in Corte" is an old house built on an oil mill, renovated by the architect Luca Zanaroli. The square is populated in the evening and sitting at the tables of the bars you can appreciate the peace and tradition that characterize this place, while in a corner, it is not uncommon to find local girls, who dance the Pizzica to the sound of tambourines and guitar but just cross the threshold to be alone with the stars, with their dreams, which seem to find a home here. You enter and exit, in a growing spiral, between permeating concentric worlds; that of the multifaceted Renaissance square and that of the ancient farm and its intimate relationship with the immediate surrounding countryside. The evocative power of the star-shaped ceilings, the earthen mortars, as well as the tuff stone. The small windows piercing the thick walls, the majolica covering and framing the floors. But it is the courtyards that make the stay in Salento unmistakable. Far from prying eyes, they allow you to deeply experience this land, its scents, its essential strength.
