A converted cow shed, now a light, airy single storey stone building open to the pitched roof that accommodates 2 people in comfort. Drop down double bed, kitchen, wet room, located on the doorstep of the Lake District in a small, charming village. The space Great Strickland is a small village sandwiched between the Lake District, the Eden Valley and the Pennines. There are wonderful walks through the fields around the village as well as further afield. We are 5 miles from shops in Penrith or Shap, and the village pub serves home cooked food in a warm atmosphere. Guest access Guests have private use of the entire Little Byre which is a separate building away from the main house. There is plenty of parking space adjacent to The Little Byre. Locked under cover storage for bicycles and motorbikes is available. Other things to note There is no public transport serving the village. We provide a simple first breakfast comprising a small white loaf, cereals, porridge and a pint of semi skimmed milk. Tea, instant coffee and sugar plus salt and pepper grinder are to hand for your use. The kitchen has a full sized four ring hob and a small combination microwave, that also works as a grill and oven.
